At Ballot Bridge, our primary mission is to partner with Americans of all demographics in increasing voter turnout, political efficacy, and civic education throughout the nation.
Did you know……
1 in every 4 American adults cannot name the current Vice President?
Over half the American population cannot correctly name three branches of government?
Nearly 40 percent of eligible voters abstained from voting in the most recent American national election?
The hidden epidemic
Modern times have shown the American nation many epidemics; COVID-19, the concerning rise of hate crimes, and an unprecedented outbreak of division. Another hidden epidemic lies beneath these, however; the epidemic of political cluelessness. Half our country can’t correctly name the three branches of government that rule us. A fourth of adults in our nation can’t even name the current Vice President. And worst of all, nearly 40 percent of eligible voters neglect the true fruit of this country; the right to participate in a democracy.
The purpose of BallotBridge is to solve this so-called “Political cluelessness” epidemic. Running voter registration drives, holding bi-partisan political information sessions in a multitude of settings, and speaking infront of different audiences about the importance of the right to vote are some of the many ways we try to solve this epidemic. We currently have branches in 10 states, and plan to expand further to reach each facet of the nation.
Our impact
Why we care
The late President Lincoln once said, “The ballot is stronger than the bullet.” Like Lincoln, BallotBridge shares the same passion for the ballot. As Americans, it’s imperative we utlize one of our founding ideas; democracy. By abstaining to vote, we foreforiet one of the greatest freedoms in world history, and allow room for undeserving politicans to take rule.
